Running down that pink runway

This past weekend marked the shopping extravaganza known as Shop a Le'a. Held at Ala Moana mall, this three day event consisted of credit card maxing, but more importantly, the first time that the Shop a Le'a fashion shows were held on the walkways of the mall. A long, pink carpet was placed, joining both ends of Ala Moana, creating the longest fashion runway in a mall. From Friday to Sunday, three times a day, "spontaneous" fashion shows were initiated, spouting swarms of shoppers to gawk and follow the line of models strutting down the pink runway.

Friday's shows consisted of Splash! Hawaii, Spiral Girl, and Banana Republic shows; Saturday featured Black House White Market, Diane Von Furstenburg, and Cache; and finally, Sunday concluded the shows with Juicy Couture, Macy's, and Valerie Joseph.

Although I only went to Saturday's shows, you can see pictures for all three days on Non Stop Honolulu's website. Like/comment the Shop a Le'a posts on Non Stop to promote further coverage of fashion shows, events, and inspirations in Oahu!

Cool HCC fashion design kids at the event.

By the way, blogging hiatus? OVER.
