That Dream House in the Sky

All images from Tumblr

I'm sure many of you have dreamt about your own little place, decorated with the perfect furniture, thrifted/bought, basically a comfy lair to call your own. I know. I've been thinking about it for YEARS. After watching some vloggers talk about their new places and the awesome things they've been buying in terms of home decor (specifically Dolly Bow BowEssie Button, & Beauty Crush), I've been extremely envious! Honestly, with all three vloggers moving into new places, my urgency to move out has multiplied. Even one of my best friends has opted to move into an apartment in town instead of dorming at the university like she did her previous years there. Since I'm not moving out anytime this year, I've been pretend shopping online for apartment knick knacks and drooling over the interior section of Tumblr. Pathetic? Maybe. Whatever makes me happy right?

  2. Totally! I just moved and have been scouring the web for inspiration. But I have to tell you, as fun as it is to see the place slowly come together, it's also soooo exhausting! I almost wish someone could come in and do it for me ;)

    1. Lol I love those things too. If you don't have a perfect place to come home to, especially after work or school, it would be really stressful! A home of my own is one of my more bigger dreams in life! I love your beauty posts a lot! ;D

  7. I do have lots of ideas and visions of how I want my place to look like but I am A LONG WAY away from being able to afford my own place. I wish I have an office like the last picture.

  14. this blog post was just what i needed right now! thank you! i love looking at interior pictures. i think that dollybow bow's place is so pretty and girly. i do not know if i would want my space permanently like that, i seem to like things more modern. i will be interested to see what she does with her new space - gota go catch up on videos! i hope you one day have a place to decorate and make your own. are you currently living in dorms? i am doing a graduate program this summer and had to leave my apartment in berlin to stay in vermont on a college campus and it is really funny but even being in a room where all the furniture looks the same in every room and every room basically looks the same with no personal sense of style (esp. when you are only staying for 6 weeks and only pack 2 suitcases it is hard to decorate) it really sort of brings me down. i am so affected by these spaces i am in and when they do not reflect me, i feel a bit lost! it sounds more dramatic than it is though! wow sorry for the novel! anyway lovely blog u seem like such a sweet girl. LOVE the first photo. following you via bloglovin now! (i am at my 300 max on gfc) hope you will follow back!

    1. Your comment is sooo sweet! I'm glad this post gave you some inspiration! That is the main reason why I love to read blogs in the first place so it makes me very happy that this simple thing helped you out! I'm also into more interested in a modern/homey feel to my ideal dream home. Especially homes that are integrated with nature and are more simple.

I'm actually living at home and take the city bus to my university. I'm starting my 4th year of college soon so I'm kind of tired of not being on my own and crave independence. I know what you mean about not living in a room that doesn't have my own personal touch of style. My room didn't become totally personalized until I started getting really into fashion and music in my 1st year of college! If anything, I would suggest little cork inspiration boards, pinning jewelry onto your wall, or even making collages to make your room a little more you!

You seem really sweet too! I'm following you back and look forward to your future posts! ^_^
